The Commercial Hotel and Bar is situated in the heart of the town of Alness, Ross-shire. The Hotel itself is over 100 years old and is situated within a 20 minute drive from Inverness. The Hotel is constantly striving to improve and upgrade its facilities, having carried out a number of improvements over the past few years.

The Commercial Hotel has been run as a family business for the last 24 years and its 3G’s lounge is named after hotel proprietor Graeme Robertson, his brother Gary and their father Guthrie.

Complimentary access to wireless Internet is available in the bedrooms as well as the other areas of the hotel, so that guests can enjoy surfing the web and business travellers can be assured of email and Internet access.

The Commercial Hotels 3Gs Lounge provides a welcoming, relaxed family atmosphere for eating out and is excellent value for money. It is an ideal place to enjoy quality home cooked food in a cosy, local environment.

For sports fans, the Commercial’s public bar has large screen televisions, making it a great place to watch big events while having a nice cool refreshment from the extensive selection of beers, spirits and soft drinks.

All our 10 Bedrooms are finished to a high standard with en-suite facilities, LCD screen TVs, free view, Sky and free wi-fi access.

The 3Gs lounge has music every Friday (9pm-1am) with Moray Firth Radio’s Tich MacCooey and Saturday (9pm-1am) with our Resident DJ.
